Lullabyes & Fairy Tales for Little Ones!

Posted by Talula on November 14, 2007

Lullabyes Edit: I really had to add a  note about our new Spring 2008 release of Celtic Dreamland  from my Barefoot Books website! Talk about beautiful music; this is perfect for drifting off to sleep with the sounds of Celtic Europe! (Putumayo Kids @ Barefoot Books $15.99)

Today is just a quick little note for those new mommies who need some ideas for Lullabyes and for those with pre-k little ones that would love new bedtime stories. I have read and listened to the Barefoot Books listed and as well as some of the other books with my own chldren and grandchildren; I hope you will enjoy them as much as I have through the years.

Mother Goose (In any format & any publisher) , Mother Goose Remembers w/CD (Barefoot Books $19.99) , Mrs. Moon Lullabies for Bedtime w/CD (Barefoot Books $ 19.99) , Dreamland CD & Asian Dreamland CD (Putamayo Kids @ Barefoot Books $15.99)

Bedtime Stories:

Read To your Bunny, (Chinaberry $19.99), Goodnight My Duckling(Chinaberry $ 6.99), I Kissed The Baby! (Chinaberry ($6.99/$14.99), I Will Hold You ‘Til You Sleep (Chinaberry $16.99), I’ll See You In the Morning (Chinaberry $12.95), Sleepy Boy (Chinaberry $15.95)

Can You Tell I love Chinaberry as much as I love my own Barefoot Books bookstore?

Fairy Tales:

The Barefoot Book of Fairy Tales (Barefoot Books $ 19.99), The Story Tree – Tales To Read Aloud W/CD (Barefoot Books $16.99), The BFB of Princesses & The BFB Pirates Both with a Audio Book CD (Barefoot Books $ 15.99 each), Magic Hoofbeats – Fantastic Horse Tales w/2 CDs (Barefoot Books $ 16.99), I Took The Moon For A Walk (Barefoot Books $16.99), The Faerie’s Gift (Barefoot Books $16.99), The Tear Thief (Barefoot Books $16.99),

Puff The Magic Dragon ( Narrated by the original singer Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul & Mary fame; Chinaberry $ 16.95), Seven Little Rabbits ( A 30 year old classic, Chinaberry $9.95), East O’ the Sun and West O’ the Moon (Chinaberry $16.99), The Nightingale (Hans Christian Anderson – Chinaberry $ 6.99), and Of Course; the many, many  beautiful versions of Peter Pan with the playful Tinkerbell (one of my all time personal favorites).

Remember to read with your child everyday; Oh, and twice on Sunday! AND every night at bedtime! Enjoy National Children’s Book Week from the Children’s Book Council November 12-16th!
